Two options

Depending on which COPENHAGEN CARD you choose you'll have one of the following transport-options included:

  • COPENHAGEN CARD – DISCOVER® includes all types of public transportation in the Capital Region.

  • COPENHAGEN CARD – HOP® includes access to the Hop On - Hop Off buses in the City.

COPENHAGEN CARD - DISCOVER

The COPENHAGEN CARD - DISCOVER® includes all public transport within the Capital Region of Copenhagen (zone 1 - 99).

This means that the COPENHAGEN CARD - DISCOVER includes travel to towns outside Copenhagen, ie. Roskilde, Lejre, Hillerød, Helsingør (Elsinore), Ishøj, Humlebæk, Rungsted, Køge, and Frederikssund where you can find more amazing attractions.

Transportation includes: Metro, Buses, Commuter-trains (S-trains), Regional Trains, Local Trains and Harbour-Buses. 

*Does not include 1. class

Copenhagen Card code used for public transportation

No need to tap

No matter if you choose DISCOVER or HOP you don't need to tap it anywhere. Just present the QR-code when asked to do so by either the driver or inspector. Just make sure your Copenhagen Card is 'active' througout your entire journey.

COPENHAGEN CARD - HOP

Explore the very best of the central Copenhagen with the Hop On - Hop Off buses.

Stromma's popular Hop On - Hop Off buses pass all major sights of Copenhagen. Choose your own pace and hop on- and -off whenever you like.

Stromma operates 3 different lines (varies with season)

  • Classic Copenhagen (runs every day throughout the year). From Oct. 2 - Dec. 24 First departure from stop 12 at 9:40. Monday-Thursday last departure full tour from stop 1 at 16:00. Friday-Saturday at 16:30. Runs daily with a 35 minute frequency
  • Urban Green (varies with season). From Oct. 2 - Dec. 24 Friday-Sunday at 11:00 and 15:00 from stop 12
  • Colorful Copenhagen (varies with season). From Oct. 2 - Dec. 24 Friday-Sunday at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00 from stop 1 Ved Stranden

NB: Look for the Stromma- and HOP-logo on the bus.

It is included in the COPENHAGEN CARD - DISCOVER, when the card is valid and activated. DISCOVER covers all public transportation forms between the city and Copenhagen Airport.

You get free unlimited public transport in the Copenhagen region (zone 1-99), which includes Copenhagen Airport (zone 4). 

Airport-transportation is NOT included in HOP.
